I've been a slacker :(

So my big plan was to start my fitness goals on Monday so I could get a week's head start.  Well its not happening like I had planned.  Monday I started my 6 week push up challenge, Wednesday I did my push ups, did some strength training and went for a 3 mile run.  Today I will get my push ups in and I also want to do one of my cardio videos and some ab work.  I did do measurements and took pictures on
Wednesday not sure if I will post those yet, still undecided.  I am soooo excited to be starting kickboxing classes again next week. I did not like having this break because I really looked forward to going every week.  My goal is to try and commit to kickboxing two days a week.

The kids go back to school on the 2nd, I am glad to have had them home for Christmas break but I am happy to see them go back to school.  I will be able to get the twins and I back on a schedule again which will be nice. Let's see....what do I have to look forward to in January.  I will be starting a bible study at our new church in a few weeks which is exciting.  I will be able to get to meet mom's from the church while the twins get to play in the nursery and meet new friends to. I will also be starting my marathon training towards the middle of January so that means I have to suck up this wonderful Wisconsin weather and get my butt outside to hit the road.  When I am unable to make it outside I will have access to a treadmill.  Oh and the thing I am really looking forward to in January is that my friend Kat will be coming to visit!!!!!! She will be visiting at the end of January. She will be flying from Pennsylvania by herself, we are hoping that once she has her baby this summer we will be able to get both of our families together.

Just thought I would give you a little update until the next time. Happy New Year

Christmas

We had a wonderful time spending Christmas with our families. The kids are extremely happy with everything they received and they are also very thankful for what they received as well.  Who knew that a weekend of family time, eating and presents can be exhausting.  I am so ready for bed to start my day off fresh tomorrow.

Tomorrow I will be starting my New Year's resolutions early, well at least the ones I can accomplish on a day to day basis. I will be doing two workouts tomorrow, yes I did say two.  After I spend time in the Word and in prayer I will be doing a workout DVD.  I am still unsure of what I want to do, its either between P90x and my turbo jam kickboxing DVD. After Travis gets home from work I will be heading to the pool's weight room to use the wonderful dreadmill to get my run in. Oh and I am also going to be starting the 6 week push-up challenge over again.  I didn't complete it last time and this time I am going all the way. I also liked how my arms looked. Along with my fitness goals I will be taking pictures once a month so I can look and see that I am actually making progress. I am still unsure whether or not I will be posting them to my blog or just keeping them private.

I also have a long to do list in my head that I NEED to get down on paper.  My goal is to accomplish at least half if not all my January 1st.  Its a long list so if I only get half done I will be very happy.

Here are a few of our Christmas pictures. I hope you enjoy them :)

Sleepless nights

Since Saturday Montana has been waking up in the middle of the night.  It feels like he is a baby again waking up for feedings only this time I don't know what he wants.  It is starting to take a toll on me, I am tired, stressed and overwhelmed.  I don't get a decent nights sleep because I lay there falling in and out of sleep listening for him to wake up. On Saturday will be 3 weeks since he got his cold and he has had it on and off.  I don't know if this is a reason why he is waking up but I am praying it stops soon.  I told Travis that if he continues for another week with waking up I am going to be calling his dr to see what they think.  So if anyone out there has any suggestions I am open to try anything.  On another note I think it will be time to start potty training because he does not like to be in his diaper.  He will take it off numerous times through out the day and say to me "mommy me no like diaper" then run away from me diaper-less.

I have decided to use my blog for 2 things.  The first one will be to write about what happens in my life and I am hoping to do that at least once a day.  The second will be to write about my training. From running, strength training to my new found love of kickboxing.  I will write about all my good days and my bad.

New Year's Resolutions

So how many of us make them and not stick to them?? I know I am guilty of this, I make them and stick to them for what......a few weeks.  But not anymore!!! I am going to make realistic goals. Yes some may sound far fetched but with determination and God by my side I can do anything. So here are my New Year's Resolutions-

1-Be in the Word everyday. Not just reading my bible but doing bible studies as well.
2-Be a better wife
3-Be a better mother
4-Be a better sister
5-Be a better friend
6-Eat better. I don't eat bad but I can always do better
7-Exercise at least 5 days a week
8-Start and finish my first marathon in May
9-This one may be far fetched but hey I can dream- to compete in a Spartan race with my girls:) (if you have never heard of a spartan race go to the website http://www.spartanrace.com/) With wanting to compete in a spartan race comes some pretty hardcore training which I am up for.
10-To be in the best shape I have ever been in by my birthday in May. Yep that is only about 5 months away and this to may seem far fetched to some but with training for a marathon and a spartan race it shouldn't be a problem.
11-Is to finally meet some very wonderful ladies that I met on an online moms website. They are all wonderful Christian moms who have all blessed my life in one way or another.
12-Is to meet my friend Kat. She is such an inspiration to me.  We both wished we lived closer. So we text and use facebook to keep in touch.

I know that seems like and just rereading it I'm starting to get overwhelmed but as long as I keep my eyes on Jesus everything else will fall into place.
