It's been a while.......

Yes it has been since January since I wrote my last blog post and I have a lot of catching up to do. So I will try to be as brief as I can. What happened in January....besides my marathon training nothing to exciting. February came and went. There was valentine's day and my sisters and grandma's birthday days. Travis and I signed up for the Tough Mudder that will happen in September, I CAN NOT wait for that, and the marathon training continues.  March was my oldest son TJ's 11th birthday and my trip to New York City for a weekend to finally meet my best friend :D  Love you Kat!!!!! Oh and the training continues. April brought my half marathon that I had a personal record at :D and stress fractures:( that was the end of training for my marathon that is supposed to happen in May. Now we are finally to May.  It has been about 4 weeks since I ran and 2 weeks since I got my boot on with another 2 to go.  I can't begin to explain how badly I want to run. I go back to the doctor on June 5th and I am praying that my foot is all healed and I am ready to go again. I know I have to start out slow so I don't reinjur myself, believe me that is the last thing I want to do since I have the Tough Mudder and another Marathon in September that I will be training for once I get the go ahead from the doctor.  On the brighter side of May my babies turned 3!!!!!! I can't believe its already been 3 years since they were born. Well I think thats everything that happened since I last posted. I promise to do my best to post a little something everyday. I'm also going to try and post my workouts that I do everyday and then my training once I am able to start that. Unitl next time I will leave you with some pictures.

Here goes nothing

Today is my first official running day to train for my very first marathon May 20th. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. You get a totally different feeling then just talking about doing a marathon then actually signing up to do one.  The day I registered I sat at the computer for about 15 minutes before I hit the complete registration. I sat here and thought "Do I have what it takes", "Will I be able to finish", "Am I doing this because my friends are doing it or is this something I really want to do for myself". So after all those thoughts and many more finished in my head I "sucked" it up and completed the registration. Yesterday I sat down and wrote all my running days on the calander along with my off days and strength training days.  I am going to train and I am going to finish my marathon even if I have to walk the last 13.1 miles.  I WILL DO IT!!!!  One of my besties and her hubby will also be running a marathon I do believe that day as well.  I am soooo excited for them.  Even though we are in different states we will be running together. We will earn our matching tattoos :)

I've been a slacker :(

So my big plan was to start my fitness goals on Monday so I could get a week's head start.  Well its not happening like I had planned.  Monday I started my 6 week push up challenge, Wednesday I did my push ups, did some strength training and went for a 3 mile run.  Today I will get my push ups in and I also want to do one of my cardio videos and some ab work.  I did do measurements and took pictures on
Wednesday not sure if I will post those yet, still undecided.  I am soooo excited to be starting kickboxing classes again next week. I did not like having this break because I really looked forward to going every week.  My goal is to try and commit to kickboxing two days a week.

The kids go back to school on the 2nd, I am glad to have had them home for Christmas break but I am happy to see them go back to school.  I will be able to get the twins and I back on a schedule again which will be nice. Let's see....what do I have to look forward to in January.  I will be starting a bible study at our new church in a few weeks which is exciting.  I will be able to get to meet mom's from the church while the twins get to play in the nursery and meet new friends to. I will also be starting my marathon training towards the middle of January so that means I have to suck up this wonderful Wisconsin weather and get my butt outside to hit the road.  When I am unable to make it outside I will have access to a treadmill.  Oh and the thing I am really looking forward to in January is that my friend Kat will be coming to visit!!!!!! She will be visiting at the end of January. She will be flying from Pennsylvania by herself, we are hoping that once she has her baby this summer we will be able to get both of our families together.

Just thought I would give you a little update until the next time. Happy New Year
